People love discounts and savings! The above-mentioned Cruise & Save brochure is a very powerful sales tool if you have guests who are on the fence about riding. Lead your conversation with this piece of collateral before the map brochure and you will find that you will see a higher close rate of guests who want to book.
Sales Tip #2: Best Value in Town!
What other attraction in town allows access ALL DAY for up to 12 hours of riding for only $40? Reminding guests of the value included with their pass (All Day, flexible, create your own itinerary, Cruise & Save discounts) typically will seal the deal for guests, especially with the current traffic situation around town and Ubers costing $20 to get from point A to point B.
Sales Tip #3: ALL-DAY ACTIVITY
Water Taxi’s all-day pass is valid for unlimited boardings for up to 12 hours from 10 am-10 pm, 7 days a week, affording guests the flexibility to cruise a little or cruise a lot, they get to customize the day as they desire rather than having to start/stop at the same dock at a fixed tour time.
Sales Tip #4: Rain or Shine
Water Taxi operates rain or shine. If the weather is seeming a bit grey and perhaps it is not the best beach day, explore the town by boat. All 13 of our vessels are covered (some with enclosed air-conditioned cabins), we offer FREE rain ponchos to passengers to stay dry while exploring on shore, and the protected waters of the Intracoastal Waterway mean a smooth ride even when it seems windy or choppy at the beach.
Helpful Hint:
If you are selling through a QR code, encourage guests to check out in front of you in case they need any assistance to ensure that you get credit for the sale.
More than just a Taxi
Did you know that ALL our vessels (excluding Water Trolley) have a restroom and bars onboard? We offer an assortment of beverages available for purchase including beer, wine, hard seltzers, canned cocktails, soda & water – our 3 largest vessels feature a full bar to mix up guest’s favorite cocktails. We offer some of the most competitive drink prices in Greater Fort Lauderdale and HAPPY HOUR pricing ($2 off) from 5 pm-10 pm each day.
Late arrival? No problem.
Water Taxi’s Evening Pass is the perfect alternative for a guest who checks in later in the afternoon. Evening passes cost only $25 and still allow the guests to ride for up to 5 hours from 5 pm until 10 pm – what better way to get to dinner than with a sunset view on the water? From Water Taxi stop #6 on Fort Lauderdale Beach it takes approximately 20 minutes to the 15th St. Fisheries, 45 minutes to Las Olas, or 45 minutes up to Shooter’s Waterfront or Bokampers which still allows for plenty of time for guests to enjoy their meal, explore a little bit and catch a ride back.
Helpful Hint:
Water Taxi sends helpful communication to guests electronically including pre-cruise confirmation with hours, addresses, and boat tracker link, as well as post-cruise follow-up. Be sure to enter the guest’s e-mail address and number so they receive these communications – tickets can still be printed once the checkout has been completed but a copy will also be e-mailed and texted messaged to guests to be able to present to the boat to be scanned prior to boarding.

Guests can ride in style to one of the best waterfront restaurants in town and be dropped off directly on the dock at Shooters, which is Water Taxi Stop #9.

Shooters offers a robust Happy Hour menu Monday through Friday from 4 pm-6 pm, a live DJ or musician Fridays from 6 pm-9 pm, steel drums on weekends starting at 12 pm during their famous 10 am-4 pm weekend brunch, and even “Yolks & Yoga” every Saturday morning on the lawn from 8 am-9 am.

Water Taxi guests receive 10% off the food portion of their bill by showing their Water Taxi pass to their server.
